1) Write a one-paragraph summary of your notes for each key concept from the booklet: Media Language (e.g. conventions, narrative, genre etc.) Some of the conventions of the magazine such as the colour scheme, layout, and typography are chosen carefully and deliberately to reflect the ideologies and hegemonic views of the magazine regarding masculinity. For example, the sharp, bold typography and font reflects the tough, 'unbreakable' traits in which MH expect in masculinity today. Narrative wise, the main message MH is trying to portray is that the amount of money and sex a man receives will determine his overall success in life.
